About Me

Mission Statement

Building a stable future to provide opportunities for my family, partners, and community.

I have a personal motto of "family, health, and wealth - in that order" for very good reason. Real estate investment to me, is the ideal asset class to balance those priorities and feed my entrepreneurial sprit. And I do not mean that in the pie in the sky sense that is flouted all over the internet, because the world does not need another cheese ball real estate investment blog.

About Me

In 2020 I transitioned to full time real estate investment having dabbled in it in the past.  Right before the pandemic, being fed up with no options for deep dish on the small, beautiful Island of Guam, I tried to open a Chicago pizzeria.  As shops shuttered across the world, it was time to make a pivot myself.  Having already owned a few rentals, earning a bachelors in finance/real estate, and taking graduate real estate investment classes at Harvard, it was time to put all that education to use.

After talking with my family, we thought this would be great fit.  My wife and I had our son while she was doing her emergency medicine residency in the U.S. Navy and I was a probie fire fighter/paramedic student. Between all of our shift work, clinicals, and studies, we realized it was best if both of us did not work in emergency services.

My wife and I having devoted large swaths of our lives to the service to others, wanted to create a little breathing room.  I spent the first 14 years of my adult life as a Marine Infantryman, Scout Sniper, and Fire Fighter.  Those jobs led to some great experiences, but it is time to give more of myself to family and I need something I can turn on and off as needed to be there for them.  Plus I want to go back to Costa Rica and spend a month or 3 in Brazil training in jiu-jitsu.

Anyways, this is a place for me to show case my good deals, my bad deals, and share what I learn.
